11 When Relationships End: Stories from the Museum of Broken Relationships
What happens to the gifts, letters, and everyday objects that outlive a relationship? How do choices to keep, discard, or donate these once cherished objects reflect social values? And how does their meaning change as they move from private memory into public storytelling? In this Zethnopod episode we speak with Olinka Vištica and Dražen Grubišić, founders of the Museum of Broken Relationships, about how intimate objects become part of a public archive of love, loss, and memory. Together with anthropologist Adam Drazin, we explore what these items reveal about material culture, emotional attachment, and the shifting meanings of things.
